How can I dress up a black silk dress to wear to a May wedding?

I have a beautiful silk black shawl collar dress for my daughter's wedding. I was wondering how to dress it up with color of shoes, jewelry, etc. for a wedding in May in NYC. My hair is being worn down and about shoulder length.
