Is BMW creating a new supply chain to feed it's massive demand in CHINA?

China is set to become BMW's largest market in the next 5-10 years. Currently there are no assembly plants in China or India or anywhere near Eastern Asia. This has to be straining BMW's logistics and supply chain. I know BMW is happy to make most of the vehicles in Germany, but you know China is actively trying to grow its domestic market and would likely want some of those huge imports (50% of luxury cars are from U.S. and Europe) to drop down a bit. BMW is leading the pack in China, but does it have any plans to establish a supply chain to China or assembly closer than Germany to save costs or appease the Chinese?
